Data Deletion Instructions

Everyday Software LLC runs Everyday Software Messaging, an AI assistant that businesses use to answer their Facebook Messenger and Instagram messages and comments. If you messaged or commented on a business that uses it, you can ask us to delete the data we hold about you. This page explains how.

How to request deletion

  1. Email jude@everydaysoftware.ai with the subject "Data deletion request".
  2. Include the Facebook Page or Instagram account you messaged or commented on.
  3. Include your name as it appears on Facebook or Instagram, or a link to your comment.
Email a deletion request

What gets deleted

We delete the data about you that we hold in our systems from Facebook Messenger, Instagram messages, and comments:

  • Stored messages you sent and the replies to them
  • Comment records and the replies we posted to them
  • Conversation records
  • The page-scoped and Instagram-scoped IDs linked to you in our systems

What happens next

We confirm your request by email and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we need more detail to find your records, we will ask you by email.

Messages and comments on Facebook and Instagram

Deleting data from our systems does not remove messages or comments from Facebook or Instagram themselves. You can delete your comments, and delete or unsend your messages, directly in Facebook or Instagram.

Removing access

You can also remove the business's access by disconnecting the app in your Facebook settings: Settings and privacy > Settings > Business integrations, then remove Everyday Software Messaging. Removing access stops new messages and comments from reaching us. To delete what we already hold, send a deletion request as described above.
