Voice AI for Trimble TruckMate and TMW Suite

An AI voice agent forTruckMate and TMW Suite.

TruckMate publishes a documented REST API, which makes a voice agent straightforward. TMW Suite does not, which makes it a different build. We tell you which one you are in before you spend a dollar.

Enterprise TMS, enterprise call volume. The same phone problem.

Trimble shops are usually running real volume, which means the phone is not one person's problem, it is a department's. Appointment changes, driver check-ins, broker status calls, and receiver questions all land on people who are also responsible for the plan. Automating the repetitive slice of that traffic is not about headcount, it is about giving your planners back the hours they currently spend repeating information that is already in the system.

What it handles

The repetitive traffic your planners should not own

Appointment scheduling and changes

Calls facilities or takes their call, agrees a time, and sets the appointment on the order, then notifies the driver and the rep.

Check calls at scale

Runs the outbound list in parallel, captures position, loaded status, and ETA, and posts each one against the trip.

Broker and customer status calls

Answers where-is-my-freight calls from the live record instead of routing them to a planner who has to look it up.

Driver calls after hours

Load details, appointment times, and paperwork questions answered at 3am without waking a dispatcher.

Exception intake

Detention, refusals, breakdowns, and late arrivals captured in a consistent structure and escalated by your rules.

Document follow-up

Chases the paperwork holding up billing and flags the order when it lands.

Trimble integration

Two very different builds under one brand

This is the part worth being blunt about. Trimble documents a TruckMate REST API on its developer portal, covering transactional and configuration operations across master data, including setting appointment times and pulling rate quotes. TMW Suite has no equivalent public API, and integration there generally runs through EDI or a third-party integrator. Same vendor, completely different project, and the honest answer changes which workflows we can automate end to end.

  • TruckMate: documented REST API, so live reads and writes on orders, stops, and appointments
  • TruckMate: master data endpoints mean the agent speaks from your real configuration
  • TMW Suite: EDI-based status flow plus structured handoff, scoped honestly up front
  • Either way, scoped credentials and no browser automation against your UI
  • Every write traceable to a call, with transcript and recording attached

What we confirm first

Which Trimble product you are actually on, and which version
Whether the TruckMate API is enabled and reachable from outside
For TMW Suite, which EDI transactions you already exchange
Which writes you want enabled and which stay read-only
How this sits alongside your existing telematics and visibility tools

Not sure which Trimble product you run?

How it works

Scoped honestly, then built

01

Product and access check

We confirm the product, the API availability, and the network path with your IT team before promising a workflow.

02

Read-only pilot

The agent gets read access first so you can hear real calls against real orders with nothing being written.

03

Enable the writes you approved

Appointments, status updates, and notes go live one workflow at a time, each one logged.

04

Scale the call types

Start with one call type across the whole fleet, or all call types on one terminal. Both work, we will recommend one.

Questions Trimble shops ask us

No, but it is a different build. Without a public API the agent cannot write to the order the way it can in TruckMate, so we lean on EDI status messages where you already exchange them and on structured handoff everywhere else. You still get the calls answered, the exceptions captured, and the escalations handled. What changes is how much lands in the system automatically, and we will quantify that for your specific setup rather than glossing over it.

The TruckMate API documents appointment-time operations, so yes, subject to your permissions and the workflow you approve. That single capability is often the strongest reason a Trimble shop starts here, because appointment churn eats planner time all day.

It means the API endpoint needs to be reachable, which is a firewall rule or a tunnel your IT team has done before. We scope it on the first call rather than discovering it in week three.

It complements them. Telematics tells you where the truck is. The agent handles the conversation that explains why it is sitting there, what the facility said, and what needs to happen next, then puts that answer on the order.

Yes, with different rules per terminal if you need them. Escalation ladders, hours, and even the greeting can vary by division while sharing one integration.

TruckMate with API access enabled: about a week for the first workflow. TMW Suite: longer, because we are working through EDI and handoff design instead of a documented endpoint. We give you a real estimate after the access check, not before.
